It’s always tempting to splash out on expensive kitchen appliances. People’s cupboards are stuffed with bread makers, ice-cream makers and a multitude of mixing and chopping devices. While these can be fun and sometimes useful, they also take up a lot of room and tend to gather dust. However, some kitchen utensils are much much smaller, cheaper and for certain jobs are absolutely what you need. Here are some must-have cooking utensils.
If someone is following you through a door, it’s only polite if you hold the door open for them. However if the person is still several steps away they’ll either jog, awkwardly towards the door or feel bad for making you stand and wait. Either situation is embarrassing for both of you. Worse still, whenever you go through a door in public you have to make a judgement call on whether the next person is far enough away to let the door swing shut. They might think they were close enough when you didn’t, and now you appear mean.
